My first balloon skirt
I've always thought that the balloon skirts are pretty but a bit funny at the same time. Those had been something for somebody else's in my life. But, on the other day, one of my friends gave me this pattern for the balloon skirt, and I thought it was the time for making my own first one. Although I needed some time to look for a nice fabric for it, I am so happy with the result. This skirt is very cute and easy to make as well.
Very good news!

Hello Yoshimi! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the fabrics you use for the clothing!! :)
I'm just learning to sew by myself, and I found you in burdastyle. :)
Have a nice day and continue sewing!
Eliana
what a pretty skirt and beautiful fabric!
ReplyDeleteit's so sweet but not overly cute...
now I want to make a balloon skirt too!
Very nice job Yoshimi. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous! I was like you whenever I would see balloon skirts I'd think they were a bit funny, they reminded me of those crazy bubble skirts that were around in the 80's... but you have DEFINITELY changed my view! Its a totally different thing when the skirt is long and you use diaphanous silk like you have with this one. I may have to look into making one myself!
ReplyDeleteYou find the most wonderful fabrics! This skirt screams spring, so right...
